USAIN BOLT…He Is What He Is…It Is What It Is…
Usain Bolt, a Jamaican Sprinter, is the Fastest Man On The Planet (that in the world title is worthless when you’re talkin’ about Usain). He was my favorite athlete during the Olympics(sorry Michael Phelps), because he looked like he was having fun the whole time! The 22 year old, broke the 100m dash record while high stepping during the last 20 meters…that’s how much better he was and is than everyone. And no one will break his 200m record ever except him (the old record stood for 12 years)! But the reason I am writing this is because last week, ESPN interrupted programming for a Usain Bolt race! Not Olympics, not worlds, just a regular meet in Europe, in September. Last time I saw ESPN interrupt programing was when Barry Bonds was going for Hank Aaron’s record. That’s just a major look for Usain and those Gold Puma’s. As a lover of Track & Field, I am happy that I can see someone that doesn’t act stupid like Maurice Green show boating, but like Usain Bolt, just killin’ ‘em with his Swagger! Thank You Usain Bolt For Saving Track! …Now if only someone like Usain could save Boxing…? hmm… Oh well …It Is What It Is…
TowelHead !!New Movie!! Looks Awesome, Check It Out!!
TowelHead, is an independent film that has been shown at Film Festivals for over a year. It’s a coming of age story about an Arab-American girl growing up with her strict Lebanese Father in Texas (more about the plot after the jump). I think it looks like it could be very good and my favorite actor Aaron Eckhart (Thank You For Smoking) is in it too. My name is Daniel Dudley, but you also may know me as D.D., and a ton of other nicknames! I LOVE THE CLEVELAND BROWNS, NOTRE DAME Football, ARIZONA Basketball, & I Hate The Steelers!! I work part-time for 1250 ESPN Radio & Radio Disney AM540 in Pittsburgh. So basically, i listen to people talk about sports and rock out to the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana and get paid for it.
I’ve wanted to be a Reporter/Anchor since I was in 5th grade and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else (btw if you know anyone that can hook me up with a job…holler). But right now I just check TVJobs.com every 5 minutes for openings and send resume tapes and dvds out to TV stations(i spend so much money in shipping).
I am a May 2008 Graduate of the Gina Martino Dahlia School of Broadcast News @ West Virginia University. The most ”Slept On” broadcast news program in the country and the #4 Party School in the country… What can i say? I took the #1 ranking with me when I left!
My ispirations for this blog are hiphopgame, kanye west’s blog, pittsburgh puck talk (HEY CHRISTINA!!), Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, and my brain constantly telling me to write stuff down!
